Can't Get Safety Sentinal Working

Hi,

I'm having trouble getting my Safety Sentinel device working. I've replaced the buzzer with a NOS part and have loosened up the knob on the fuel gauge, which had been sticking since I bought the car a year ago. The light bulb on the indicator is working, as is the high beam light next to it. The fuses are also all new. I've turned the speed dial back to 35 to reset it, as the operating manual indicates. But still nothing. Anyone ever run across this and find a way to resolve it?

Hmmm...don't have the SS on my car so I don't have first hand experience. I have found that on cars this old corrosion can be a real problem for anything electrical. If it were mine, the first thing I'd do is take it apart as much as possible and clean whatever electrical contacts you can find. I can see what information the service manual has if you'd like...
