A carpet replacement and what followed....

Here is the story of my car.
It began with a car that was almost original exept motor and transmission.

We (me and my wife) drove it one summer long and in the wintertime we decided to replace the carpet and some small other things.
That was the beginning of a two year restoration.
Under the carpet we found many rust.

but only a small piece was in such bad shape that we had to replace it.

There was rust in the trunk too. I removed all the rust and painted it with anti-rust paint.

Then I sealed all edges and painted the interior black.

In the meantime I began to remove all the chrome and the paint from the body.... it was really hard work :x

I also worked on the underside.....

Thats me........ 8)

I think the hardest part of the work was to remove the paint.....

At the end of this, the car looked like it came out of a mad-max movie

Great job!! I know that feeling...that looks pretty similar to what I ended up doing with my car. I took a bunch of pictures of it, but I still haven't gotten around to scanning them. One of these days soon, I hope. Great job though...I know just how much work that was  .
